Heather Richman

Ecosystem Architect

Heather is a seasoned corporate development and strategy consultant in the defense, energy and tech spaces. She serves as an Entrepreneur in Residence at BMNT. Prior to BMNT, she spent six years in Washington, D.C., with U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer (New York) before heading back to the West Coast to manage government relations for Stanford University.


While at Stanford, Heather created and implemented the state & federal government affairs and outreach strategy for the newly formed Woods Institute for the Environment and worked closely with the Precourt Institute for Energy. After Stanford, she served as a member of Cisco’s Global Policy & Government Affairs team.


In addition, Heather was one of the founding  member of the Elemental Excelerator, an energy focused startup development program which has awarded over $24 million to more than 63 companies and leveraged more than $500M in private capital.

Heather now focuses on strategic partnership development with an expertise in federal government and military engagement for early stage companies (energy/cyber/tech).
